Dr. Ray England
Bro. Ray, our Senior Pastor and fearless leader, was born and raised in Campbellsville, Kentucky. His wife is the lovely Leslie Lalosh England, a native of Cincinnati. Ray has been the pastor at 2nd Baptist since December of 1999.
Primarily focused in a few key areas, including preaching and worship, vision and futuring, staff supervision and encouragement. Also:
- Overseeing Our Deacon Body and Staff Ministers
- Pastoral Care Duties
- Futures/Strategic Planning
- Stewardship, and Trustees

Bob Thurman
Bro. Bob, our Associate pastor, is the senior member of our staff. He was born and raised in Southeast Missouri. Bob, his wife Karen, and sons, Tyler and Stephen came to 2nd in August of 1995.
Bob's responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Educational Ministries of Our Church (Sunday School Classes, Wednesday Night Special Studies, and Small Group Advisor)
- Senior Adult Minister
- Staff Liaison for the Nursery and Preschool
- Overseer of Support Staff and Other Administrative Tasks
- Director of Several Special Events Such as: Treats 'n More & Adult Summer Mission Projects

Brian Schindler
Brian is the resident Hillbilly coming to us from Pikeville, KY. Brian and his wife, Melissa, came to 2nd in January of 2001 as newlyweds. In thier time here the Schindlers have added two to their family with a daughter, Caroline, and son, Michael.
Some of Brian's duties entail:
- Planning and Leading Music and Creative Aspects of Our Worship Services
- Directing the Adult Choir
- Directing Praise Bands
- Guiding the Middle School and High School Ministries, Weekly Programs, and Event

Josh Smith
Josh is the baby on our staff...speaking of babies, have you seen his? Josh is a local boy that God called to our staff in 2007. Josh, his wife, Natalie, daughter, Olivia, son, Bryce, and newborn son, Cooper, are a blessing to our staff and church.
Josh's ministry task include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and Leading Children's Worship Services
- Directing our Wednesday Night Chldren's Discipleship Program
- Special Events for Children
- Overseeing our Upward Sports Leagues
- Director of Other Weekly and Special Recreational Events at 2nd
