One of the main goals of 2nd Baptist is to help our body become disciples and look more like Christ; therefore, we offer a variety of discipleship classes through several different venues taught by loving and knowledgeable teachers.  We offer several opportunities to delve into God’s Word to know Him better and to learn how it applies to your life. 

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School has been the foundation of Christian education within the church for generations because it is involves everyone at the same time.  Unlike small groups that meet throughout the week, there is no need to worry about what to do with your children because they'll be learning Scripture and how it applies to their lives while you're studying with other adults.

It can be difficult to find an adult Sunday School class because there are SO many to choose from.  Most classes mix age groups considerably, so there are many places you might find yourself both challenged and comfortable.  The best advice is to try several!  Ask questions, meet some people, and jump right in.  No one is offended by your visiting different classes.  Do some “class shopping”, visit some classes, and ask questions of the teacher about materials.  Find where you fit!  There’s a place for everyone!

You are sure to find a place to learn and grow with other people.  Sunday School classes are a primary basis of support.  You’ll find a group of loving and supportive people whose life passion is to see others grow in their walk with Christ.

SMALL GROUPS
There are several active small groups that meet to encourage godly fellowship and pursue Christ-Life together.  These groups are great to connect with a smaller group of people, normally of the same gender, who can guide you in your walk with Christ. 

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
There are several places the whole family can participate in on Wednesday nights.  There is a nursery, a children's program called Faith Weaver Friends and teens are invited to P.24.  Bro. Bob Thurman teaches each week after our church supper in the MMC.  Several seasons a year, Bro. Bob also plans special specialized and topical studies for adults.  These courses range from Finances, Men’s studies, Women’s Studies, Parenting Classes, Relationship Classes, Marriage Classes, and Topical or Book Studies.
